In September 2025, I was asked to help broadcast a live link from Magdeburg, one of fourteen Bauer satellite locations around the world, that would connect 12,000 employees across Europe to celebrate 150 years of Bauer Media Group and featured shows from Loreen, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and David Guetta. Throughout the day, I was responsible for setting up a Peplink router, an Magewell SRT Encoder for signal going out to London as well as a Decoder for London to send the show mix back to be beamed on a big screen, presenter microphone, Unity Intercom for myself and producer together with a Sony Z-190 camera that I would use to record B-roll, stream the presenter during his Eurovision-style live link and offer handheld shots from the dance floor to the gallery in London to be cut in during live performances. This experience taught me how important communication and time management is during big remote events and tested my livestream knowledge as well as camera skills that were recognised by the show camera director Ollie Bartlett on comms after the show.
